Lord of the Wolfyn Jessica Andersen Books Reviews

I bought the series...books one and two were okay, but predictable. This one is the best so far, only one book left...we shall see.
This is my first Jessica Andersen book. Loved it. Can't wait to read all of her other books. Would highly recommend this book.
Love this series! The last book/finale, "Lord of the Abyss" is my favorite, by one of my most favorite writes, Nalini Singh. I will read EVERYTHING she writes.
It was just hard for me to follow the tragic, " I'm strong but now I'm full of doubt". I did not like how weak the female was and continued to be weak. There were parts of the story line that really intrigued me and captured my escapism but not my favorite.
I liked this book very much! Of course it's the typical fast, hard love but let's be real, we all love that kind of stuff or we wouldn't read these types of books lol I think this is my fave out of the 3 and cannot wait to read #4! The only down side is the view points change without any change in spacing, like you are reading Reda's view then the next paragraph is Dayn's. Good read....glad I started book 1 in my 4-in-1 book by Gena Showalter lol )
Prince of Elden, Dayn saw the evil sorcerer who has taken his father lands. worse the sorcerer sees him and curses him to be both man and beast before the king and queens magic transports him out of the realm. Too ashamed to return he bides his time in the land of the Wolfyn. With only a time piece to tell him when to return... he waits telling only two of his secret.

Practical Reda Wilson walks into a portal that leads her to the Wolfyn. Luckily the only other non wolf in the land find her. ONLY what will Dayn do with her? Every minute she is there she put his secret in jeopardy. Who will chase whom away... and does she want the handsome huntsman to chase her off? (Little Red Riding Hood)

The Royal House of Shadow Series

1. Lord of the Vampires (Gena Showalter)

2. Lord of Rage (Jill Monroe)

3. Lord of the Wolfyn (Jessica Andersen)

4. Lord of the Abyss (Nalini Singh)
I definitely enjoyed this one more than the previous one. Maybe it was because the male was the paranormal one and that's how I like it, or maybe it was just because there seemed to be a lot more going on. Though this one too had a whole fairy tale thing going on, at least Dayn was indeed a real prince.

Reda was a cop until the death of her best friend and partner. She blames herself for his death because she could have prevented it (or at least tried to anyway) but she froze when it mattered most. Her father and brothers are military guys and she pretty much has no on to turn to. Since his death she has been going thru the motions of life without actually living. And then one day she finally finds the book her mother gave her when she was a child that was lost and her life is in for an abrupt change.

Our Elden prince this time is Dayn. After a fight with his parents he pretty much storms out of the castle to pout in a way by hunting for beasts. While he is gone is when the blood sorcerer attacks the castle. Getting caught up in a vortex he speaks to his father and sees the horror that went on while he was not there. Not being able to help it, he's transported to the realm of the wolfyn where he lives for twenty years hiding his identity while waiting for the one that will be his guide home.

Cue Reda. While reading her book she also gets sucked into a vortex and sent to the wolfyn realm where Dayn rushes to get her. For a while she's in complete denial that the whole thing is even real but eventually realizes that it is. Standing in the way of Dayn and Reda getting back home is a witch who unleashes beasts after the two of them as well as turns pretty much every citizen in both realms against Dayn. The wolfyn want him dead because he's a blood drinker and his people want him dead because he's a wolfyn (of which by the way, I still don't know how that exactly happened) and they don't know he's their prince. Dayn and Reda are not even together for four days but they find themselves in love with the other even though they each have reason to fight it. Or at least think they do. Dayn was left with one message from him father and that was to be true to himself. And it's not until the very end when Reda's life is endangered that he figures out what that actually is. Is it a spoiler to say that he comes riding in to save the day on huge black unicorn? Well, I don't care much because that was actually kind of cool.

One thing that was peculiar about this installment was the lack of mention of his time piece. I don't think it was mentioned even once in the whole story. And didn't each child receive one? Because isn't it something super important?

Now on the last one because really, I am very interested to see what will happen the four siblings finally come together.
